Between teaching pediatrics to physical therapy doctoral students and maintaining her board certification in neurologic physical therapy, Lauren stays up to date with all current research and clinical practice recommendations. She brings her experience from some of the most prestigious pediatric and neurologic settings including Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, Kennedy Krieger Institute, U of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute, and AbilityKC.

Lauren has completed dozens of continuing education courses during her years as a therapist. A few highlights include: pediatric myofascial release via John Barnes Approach, pediatric and adult vestibular rehab, Craniosacral Therapy via Upledger Institute, infant craniosacral therapy through Lori Henderickson, Parkinson Wellness Recovery, pediatric and adult kinesiotaping, torticollis and cranial repositioning techniques via Baby Begin, spinal stimulation and functional electrical stimulation for Spina Bifida through Gerti Motavalli, infant massage through International Loving Touch Foundation, ACTIVATORâ„— Method Trainer through Urban Poling, multiple NDT and PNF focused courses on gait and mobility, and pediatric and adult orthotic assessment.

Lauren is a certified PWR! Moves therapist. This is an evidence-based program designed to specifically address challenges commonly associated with Parkinson's Disease.

Lauren is also an accredited MS Get a Head Start Instructor. The MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Get a Head Start Program is "an innovative six week high intensity exercise and education program to empower self management". Participants must be able to commit to 1 hour sessions 2x/wk for the full 6 week duration of the program. There is a heavy emphasis on education of symptom management, including focused evidence-based guidelines on maximizing neuroplasticity through exercise.
